Advisors help with so much more than selecting classes

They can help you:

  • Plan your career - What can I do with this major?
  • Obtain experience in your field with jobs, internships, etc.
  • Address any difficulties you might have in classes
  • Locate campus resources to help you get involved at OSU
  • Help you explore minors and elective courses to help you pinpoint your career focus
  • Connect you with research opportunities so you can start doing science instead of just studying it
  • Share study abroad opportunities with you
  • Assist you with preparation and planning for graduate or professional school - it's never too early to start!

Advising in our College is decentralized, which means you can get advising from both faculty and professional advisors in each department.

If you have any questions, please contact Head Advisor Heather Arbuckle in the College of Science in 109 Kidder Hall, or call 541-737-3854 to schedule an appointment.
