The College of Science Student Travel Awards (COSSTA) provide our students access to high-impact educational and research experiences that inspire intellectual engagement, academic achievement and personal transformation. Proposals are evaluated based primarily on scientific merit and potential impact. Students can use funds for conference travel, presentations or field research.

Since its inception, COSSTA has has enabled graduate students across departments and disciplines, from Biochemistry & Biophysics and Statistics to Chemistry and Mathematics, to attend conferences and to pursue research projects.

These experiences can be life changing. Apply for COSSTA or contact us to support this opportunity to impact the next generation of scientists.

This summer I had the opportunity to travel to Bocas del Toro, Panama to conduct a lab-based experiment with corals. This opportunity means a great deal to me.
